This daycare/preschool is amazing. Our son has just graduated. He was a student there for the year of 2020-2021. Our experience was nothing short of amazing. The carrying and nurturing environment and teachers' attention were superb. We consider ourselves extremely fortunate because our son had the wonderful experience in this preschool.

The curriculum there is a well balanced combo of play/learn time. Kids are progressing well academically and developmentally. Great attention to the safety protocols. Teachers there are making sure that the conditions are as safe as possible during the pandemic. We recommend 'Building Kidz' wholeheartedly to all parents out there.

I love this school, first they took care of my nieces. I always knew I wanted my kids to go there someday as well. My son attended BK Imagination Station only for his last year of Pre-K and happy that he did. He went from being very shy to a talkative child and is now doing well in Kindergarten. I highly recommend this school, teachers are very caring and great teachers that give kids a good foundation before Kinder, also the best with quick feedback on your concerns & questions.

This preschool is absolutely amazing. My daughter adore each and every teacher she came into contact with at this school.

This preschool provided a solid foundation in academics, social skills, and teaching them the fundamental of dreaming big using there imagination skills. My daughter excelled in this school with the various daily activities. One of her favorite class in the morning is Science class. One of her favorite project was getting to grow a bean from a seed. She learned how to pot, plant, water, and watched it grow. With the diverse culture of where we live, I am very please that Building Kidz offer to teach basic Spanish at this level. I catch my daughter sometimes counting in Spanish or even saying just the simple words like thank you. There are so many other enriching activities that goes on everyday at this preschool that sometimes it feels like 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM isn't enough time. Dance Class, Music Class, Art Class, Performance Recitals....I wish I got to experience this when I was her age.

To see that my daughter enjoyed preschool this much makes my heart melt. It's the little things in life that counts the most. Knowing that Building Kidz made such a huge footprint in my daughter life make me proud as a mother for finding a preschool like this one. Entrusting your precious little ones is a huge step of letting go as a mother. It was the best decision I made to put my daughter at this preschool.

Our preschool has one of the largest capacities of any facility in the city. Our goal is to provide all of the children at Young World with a comfortable, creative, nurturing, and educational environment in which each child can develop at his or her individual pace.


We focus on academic readiness, social development, and play. We encourage good self-esteem and fun, both of which we believe are foundations for learning. We are currently accepting applications for the 2023-2024 school year. To be eligible to attend the preschool program, students must reach the age of three (3) on or before December 1, 2023. If your child is turning 5 between September 1, 2023 and April 2, 2024 there is an option to register for Transitional Kindergarten (TK) at your local Elementary School.

Enrollment applications can be picked up and submitted at General Pershing Preschool, 631 Hanover Street. Applications can be submitted Monday through Friday between the hours of 10am and 1pm starting August 7th when we return from summer break.

Documents you will need to bring with you when submitting your application:

Proof of California Residency - show us a piece of important mail with your name and address on it. For example: rental agreement, phone bill, utility bill.

Provide original supporting documentation for all children under the age of 18 years old (to be considered as part of the family.) - Birth Certificate, baptismal certificate, child custody, reliable documentation indicating the relationship to you.

Physician's Report & Immunization Records - Original recent physical examination and more recent immunization records. This must be signed by a physician. T.B. test is required (unless the doctor specifies "NO RISK ON THE PHYSICIAN'S REPORT FORM".

Employment Verification - tell us about your employment. Provide the most recent 30 days of income (paystubs, unemployment records, disability payments, pension, alimony child support.) For self-employed, provide 3 months of profit and loss statements. (includes Uber & Lyft drivers)

Permission to Release form - tell us who is allowed to pick up from school. List their first & last name, relationship to family, phone number, and have them sign next to their name.

Parents/Guardians must present a current and valid I.D. at time of application submission.
