You're not a number with the Peninsula Swim School family. Our personalized and gentle approach gets your child swimming safe and loving the water faster and better than the others.

There is a $30 registration fee once per year, per family. Other schools charge $35 per child and if you take a break, you pay again.

We allow 1 absence per series with at least one hour notice. We add the missed class onto the end of the series. Please call the Absence Line, (650) 568-7932, if you can't make your class.

Classes can be put on hold anytime, for an extended illness or vacation, with a minimum of 24 hours notice. You give up your time and your teacher.

We teach all ages and abilities from 3 months of age. Our patient, skilled teachers evaluate your child's individual needs and use toys, songs and games to make learning fun. Swimming success soon follows.

My son took lessons at La Petite Baleen and British Swim School before going to Peninsula. Peninsula is much better in my opinion - they are very focused on getting kids to swim and working at each kids level (rather than having them do the same drills that everyone else in the class does). I'm so proud of my son, cause at 3 years old he could swim across the pool without assistance and can make it to the edge if he falls in.

Really great swimming school! Very much a family feel, and they do a really good job with the little ones. My 3 year old son learns more every week, and he loves seeing his swimming teacher every time. Also a big plus that they give ribbons when the kiddos achieve a new swimming skill, and they give them a little candy treat at the end of each swimming class. All in all, really great place!

4worldlovers: Opened in 2013, our newest facility in the La Petite Baleen Swim Schools lineup is located in-between Redwood City and Atherton, CA. Our indoor 24′ x 50′ 90-degree pool holds a maximum of six swim classes at a time on both the half and quarter-hour. There are five on-deck rinse-off stations, separate changing rooms for men and women, and private changing stalls for children 6 and older. Plus, there are comfortable areas on the pool deck and a viewing room, so you don’t miss any of the poolside action.
