Keep track using the school-issued binder reminder. This useful tool keeps you up to date not only on homework but also on other happenings on campus.

There are resources available on campus to help students. There are campus programs and resource listings to help students succeed.

Attention: We have updated our cell phone policy. Students are allowed to have their cell phone with them on campus as long as it is kept in their backpack or book bag. Cell phones must be off during the entire school day. If you need to contact your student you must call the office at (650) 991-1225. Our staff will ensure that your student promptly receives their message without interrupting instructional time. Some teachers may allow students to use their phones during class time for research purposes but that is all that they should be doing. Be sure to talk to your students about the new rules for the technology on campus. A letter was sent home that outlines the entire district policy.

Students are placed on the non-participation list for receiving poor grades (two or more F's) in academics, citizenship, or exhibiting poor behavior. Students who continue to be placed on the list or those who do not do well when report cards are issued will be excluded from our next events.

Please monitor your child's assignments through the Binder Reminder. Our goal is that NO students will be on the next Non-Participation List. With your help, we can do it! If you'd like some advice on helping your child improve their grades, please call (650) 991-1225.

The major areas that are reviewed to determine a student's status are:

1. Grade Point Average/GPA (This is shown at the bottom of a report card.)

2. Attendance (Tardiness lowers your grade and every time you are absent the school loses money.)

It is very important that parents monitor their child's progress during the school year concerning these areas. The GPA and attendance for the full year will be considered. The testing will be conducted in the spring of the school year.

The state has changed the way schools are funded. We do not receive funding for excused absences any more. Also, remember that every day missed puts a child more than 2 days behind in his/her class work and homework.

Please be certain that your child stays home when it's absolutely necessary. Attendance is essential! Make sure your child is at school every day.
