Our signature cake. It took a few hundred years, a harmonious fusion of Indonesian and Dutch sensibilities, and an infinite patience to make this ultimate delicacy called lapis legit, spekkoek, or, in some corners of the world, thousand-layer cake. Made using premium European butter and Indonesian spices, Spekkoek is truly a labor of love. A small amount of generously spiced flavored batter is poured and broiled until golden brown, one layer at a time. The result is a rich, delicious cake that is best served in small pieces or thin slices accompanied by a cup of your favorite coffee or tea.Ingredients: egg, European butter blend, sugar, flour, milk powder, condensed milk, Indonesian spiced mix, vanilla.Storage Instruction: Refrigerate if not consumed within 1 day.
