4worldlovers: On Father's Day weekend the 10U Silver All-Star Team; the Dirty Dozen and the 12U Silver All-Star team; Pitch Perfect; won the USA Softball of Southern California Central C District Championship in their age categories! It is the first time in the league’s 20-year history that any NMGS team has won a USA Softball-sanctioned championship tournament. We are so proud of these girls! Good things are happening at NMGS! The Mission of Newport Mesa Girls Softball is to provide a positive and safe environment for girls to participate in friendly competition, develop athletic skills and build self-esteem while learning to play the game of fastpitch softball. Newport Mesa Girls Softball is dedicated to the principles of teamwork, sportsmanship, friendship, leadership and citizenship. Managers, coaches, players and parents will strive to live by these principles both on and off the field.

Recreation softball is the main softball program and is offered in the Spring and Fall seasons. During these seasons, players are put into the following age groups – 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U and 14U. All players are guaranteed playing time. Every team has a parent-volunteer coach and volunteer assistant coaches.


Select softball is the opportunity for players to play at a higher level & be challenged more as a player. When you play on the Select team you are committing to spending additional time working out with your teammates through organized practices and possibly lessons. Tryouts are mandatory for Select.
