We are fiercely committed to creating opportunities for youth to process and heal from trauma, develop self-sufficiency and confidence, build supportive networks, and create healthy, safe, and meaningful lives.

The heart of Youth Homes' work is with young people who have experienced trauma and the many ways we can support their healing. Many of our youth struggle with post-traumatic stress due to experiences with violence, emotional abuse, physical abuse, sexual abuse, and neglect.

Our Continuum of Care offers a suite of programs designed to empower youth and support healing. Along with our residential, enrichment, and Transition-Age Youth services, we also provide community-based mental health programs that provide access to support in the communities our clients live and go to school.

At the center of our programming is the insistence that all youth deserve to thrive, not just survive, as part of their growth and healing.

On the morning of June 3rd, a community full of people gathered in the center of their town and spent the morning making a huge impact, simply because they care.

This past Saturday was one giant labor of love from Youth Homes’ staff, volunteers, and larger community. It is not extremely often that we have the opportunity to all gather in person, hug each other, enjoy a meal and laugh together – but this weekend was one of those opportunities, and we are so grateful for it!

On the first Friday of March, we gathered together with friends and family of Youth Homes, team members, board members, and a few brand new faces for our Texas Hold 'Em Poker Tournament fundraiser.

While maintaining safe and upkept spaces is a critical aspect of our youth's wellbeing, their trauma response behaviors can often lead to them being destructive to the houses and anything in them - this is a challenge.
