JR Catering and Concessions was established in july , 2017 in the Concord , CA area. It was the dream of Joel Toscano and Reyes Ramos to establish a food business that would establish a strong foundation for their families. 2017 turned out to be busier than planned. We were also very fortunate with an opportunity to be part of the Walnut Creek Theatre of Arts featuring better than ever. As we grow, we never want to lose sight of our roots. Joel Toscano was born and raised in mexico , He fell in love with ‘Food Service’ while being a Busboy at Scott's Seafood Restaurant in walnut creek He was in charge of many ‘Big’ weekend functions feeding hundreds of hungry people . “I love to watch people enjoy food that I have prepared. There is an intrinsic joy that I receive watching other enjoy food with friends and family.”

Reyes Ramos was born and raised in Guadalajara Jalisco Mexico bought his first restaurant agave in walnut creek when he was just 22 years old . .

After many conversations and many ideas both agreed that a catering business could work. JR catering was born. The two partners have a created blend of experience of more than 20 years that is propelling the business to a unique concept.

We've added a few new people to the team: Manuel Martinez , Head Chef and former executive chef at Scoott's and Anjelica Toscano; wine and spirits Specialist.
