Our Historic Old Town Tour is an Experience You'll Never Forget.

Considering taking a look at some of these if you are serious about the tour.

A little less than 1 miles paced around 60 minutes. It's an easy walk for all. You'll get standing breaks at each of the locations.

Impaired? Wheelchairs and Walkers are a challange going up and down the hill from Heritage - you will need a strong helper. Call for more on that if curious.

Perhaps the scariest part of the tour is there are no bathrooms! Please use the restroom at the visitor center on the other side of the square (next to the outside living history museum) or at one of the local eateries. We move at a brisk pace and if we want to cover all the locations properly bathrooms are out.

If you have a medical need please alert us to that immediately after booking so we can make arrangements.

Please don't bring food or drink on the tour. If you stop during the tour to get a drink or food you will be left behind, we have to keep moving to fit it all in.

Please don't smoke or vape during the tour as courtesy to others. Deep graitude.

We know that in several locations eerie things do happen. We and our groups have experienced them, and it is rare, so no guarantee, still, you might get lucky. Keep in mind, we don't create or employ ghosts so no trickery by us, anything that happens would be (super)natural. Bring your camera, you may catch spirit orbs. I hope something happens on your tour and if so please send us the images.

I would call it more spooky than scary. We do not use jump scares, though the environments themselves do have a very strong vibe most can sense. Some people do come out of it with a scare(s), it just depends on your personal tolerance level. Creepy is another good word for parts of the experience.

Out of our tours this one (The Old Town Walking Tour) is the most kid-friendly. Our Haunted Ghost/True Crime San Diego Gaslamp/Downtown is the least kid-friendly. Our Haunted Ghost San Diego Bus Tour is darker, maybe kid-friendly (depends on the kid) though doable as we do allow kids that don't require a car seat on that tour.

With that being said.., this is still a ghost tour. We are talking history but, it's dark history with death, hangings, murders, and so on. It also has the element beyond death. Not what most people would imagine as kid-friendly. It is really up to you to know what your child can tolerate. Do feel free to call us to discuss this in detail.

People come to San Diego for the mix of cultures and the unbelievably great weather, but they don’t expect the sea of darkness that hides just underneath the surface. Ever since joining the United States in 1850, San Diego has been a city of paradox. All at once, it feels like a sleepy beach town, and a bustling metropolitan city. It represents a clash of cultures, and yet somehow feels like its own cohesive destination. It’s a sunny vacation spot and a dark hotbed of the supernatural. San Diego’s Gaslamp District, in particular, holds the key to the city’s rich and complicated history.

Discover the pioneers of San Diego, and their big personalities, who built the city into what it is today, and how those unfortunate souls still influence it in their own way. Find out how people survived, and how others met their tragic end, during California’s earliest days.

One of the stops on the tour is outside a bustling restaurant in a fantastic location. But this charming place hides a hideous past. The building was built as a repair shop for carriages, and later cars. The horses that used to come here were moved around and occasionally exercised by a revolving group of young boys, mostly because they were cheap and eager. One day a young lad of around ten or eleven was exercising a skittish horse when a crash outside the garage, which caused it to bolt!

The boy was thrown from the horse and trampled under its metal-clad hooves. The boy sustained gruesome injuries to his young face, but his internal wounds were the fatal ones. The garage had to shut for a while until public outrage subsided.

Years later, automobiles littered the garage floor in various states of repair, the staff reported seeing a young boy throughout the day out of the corner of their eyes. No one found anyone, but the manager was worried someone was in there that shouldn’t be and returned at night to double-check the place. All looked good until he was leaving, when he saw a young boy in the corner of the garage facing the wall, as he looked through the dark, he started to hear the boy sob.

The manager would never forget what happened when he went to see if the boy was ok. Join us on the tour to find out the boys’ ghastly story.

The psychic pain of death is everywhere, and that pain manifests through both benevolent and malevolent spirits. While some of these spirits are peaceful enough, others prey on the vulnerability of the living to terrify and torment.
