This beloved pop/rock musical is by two-time Academy Award-winner Stephen Schwartz, also know for his most current musical WICKED.

Based on the Gospel According to St. Matthew and boasting a sparkling score, GODSPELL JR. features the international hit "Day By Day," as well as "Prepare Ye The Way Of The Lord," "Learn Your Lessons Well," "All For The Best," and "All Good Gifts." In this energetic, uplifting musical, the parables of Jesus Christ come to life with abundant humanity and heart. Drawing from various theatrical traditions, such as clowning, pantomime, acrobatics and vaudeville, GODSPELL JR. is a unique reflection on the life of Jesus with a message of kindness, tolerance, and love.

"Thirty squirrely students swirl in from the street, talking and laughing, jostling and poking. It is the first rehearsal for Annie, Jr., a production of Pacific Children’s Theater (PCT) in Mission Hills. Each child is greeted by theater director and PCT founder Graham Russo. The energy level is high, and it is hard for an outsider to see how such a raucous group can be wrangled into learning lines and dances, songs and cues to create a play. But before them sit three brave instructors, ready to take on the task of creating theater magic out of kid-sized chaos."
