I have special interests in the treatment of Depression, Anxiety Disorders, Mania, Self-Esteem Issues, Eating Disorders, ADD/ADHD and Work-Related Stress using short-term cognitive and dynamic psychotherapeutic techniques in addition to medication when indicated. I am a Consulting Psychiatrist for the NFL and from 2003 to 2017 for the San Diego Chargers. I am a Consulting Psychiatrist for Major League Baseball and since 2005 for the San Diego Padres. I am a Clinical Instructor in Psychiatry at UCSD School of Medicine and Supervising Psychiatrist for the UCSD Free Clinic for the Homeless. Due to my expertise and experience, I am asked to teach at medical conferences across the United States, Canada, and Europe. I have lectured to over 20,000 physicians and therapists about the successful treatment of Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Anxiety, Eating Disorders, ADD/ADHD, Psychopharmacology, and Behavioral Medicine.
