4worldlovers: The HDMI ports went out on our LG TV. This is a known problem with LG TV because of poor solder joints. Most local TV repair shops will not touch the repair or say it is too expensive. How to remove and install the circuit board was shown in many YouTube videos, so there was no issue there. I packed it up the circuit board and sent it to Nick's. A little over two weeks later, I had it back and installed it. The TV is back to it good all "smartness". The price for this service is very reasonable compared to calling a repair shop.

I got a quick callback after requesting service (within hours of initial call!). Dan of Dad’s TV set up a convenient appointment time with me. He arrived as promised, diagnosed the problem quickly, and we agreed upon price and return timing based on expected delivery of the repair part. He returned with the part in less than a week, made the repair and all is well! Dan was even nice enough to help me carry the TV up to the second floor where I planned to do a wall installation in our master bedroom! Thanks Dan!
