Job Connect is a self-service job resource center available at the Library. It is a satellite office of the Verdugo Jobs Center (VJC) which is part of the Department of Labor America’s Jobs Center. It was formerly operated out of the City Administrative Services Building. Read our brochure for a quick overview of our services.

Speaking multiple languages can be an asset on the job. Mango Languages is a free app that teaches more than 70 languages. Set up an account with your Library card and keep track of your progress.

With LearningExpress, learn how to build the perfect resume or cover letter, access samples, and access additional career search and development resources.

LinkedIn Learning offers the latest in resume courses and videos to help you build the perfect resume.

Looking for ready-made templates? With Microsoft Word (available on the Library public computers), you can find many templates for resumes and cover letters. From within Word, select File, New from the top left menu and type “resume” in the search field.

SCORE provides small business mentoring and education. Burbank Public Library, in partnership with City of Burbank Economic Development Department, provides free one-hour appointments with mentors from SCORE, who will provide assistance in developing business plans, identifying seed funding and more. Reservations may be made through the Library event calendar for Tuesdays and Thursdays.
