The BSIS has changed the application order for exposed firearms permits.

"Effective January 1, 2022, the assessment must be completed prior to submitting an Application for an Initial Firearms Permit. This is a significant change. Prior practice was to take the assessment AFTER you applied; as of January 1, 2022, you must take it PRIOR to applying for a firearms permit."

Our classroom is onsite within the range, so there is no need to travel from the lecture to the practical.

You may stand post after an 8-hours course and receiving your guard card. You have 30 days to complete the first 16-hours of training and then 6-months after getting your Security Guard card permit to complete the remaining sixteen hours for a total of forty. You may elect to take all forty hours of Security Guard permit training at one time also. Prior to renewal of your Security Guard card you must complete an 8-hours refresher course.
