Southern California Children’s Museum (SCCM) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides play-based activities and exhibits designed to foster excitement and spark a real sense of wonder. SCCM was founded in 2013 by a group of parents who felt there was an underserved need for public early childhood education in their community. Now ten years in existence, SCCM supports developmental milestone growth for children 0-7 years old through the arts and served nearly 23,000 people in 2022.

Every month, we hold at least two (2) events at the museum. From movie screenings to honor days to book signings to comedy nights to game nights to even wine tasting. The Martial Arts History Museum is an exciting place for the entire family to enjoy. Even if you’ve never done martial arts in your life, you will have a great time exploring how Asian history became part of American history through film, tv, animation and more. Artifacts include several Japanese Samurai, a unique look as the artistry of the Ninja or trans the roots of anime through our animation timeline.

If you enjoy movies and television, you will love our flim/tv timeline tracing roots to Anna May Wong and Akira Kurasawa’s epic film, the Seven Samurai. It takes close to an hour to visit the museum and scheduled tours are available.
