4worldlovers: In 2006, Education Through Music-Los Angeles was founded with the mission to provide and promote quality music education in under-resourced schools as part of the core curriculum for every child in order to nurture students' academic achievement, and their creative and overall development. We partner with school districts and schools to further equity and access for students in historically marginalized communities.

Education Through Music-Los Angeles was formed in 2006 as a solution to combat the inequalities of quality music education being provided across our most vulnerable communities – predominantly students of color from historically marginalized areas. We stand with our Black community and those around the nation in mourning the tragic loss of countless Black lives due to racial injustice. We continue to grieve with our Black communities. Black Lives Matter. We are committed to deepening our cultural equity and inclusion initiative and empowerment through music and the arts in order to create a more just, peaceful, and loving world.

Education Through Music-Los Angeles utilizes music education as a catalyst to improve academic achievement, motivation for school, and self-confidence, and nurtures the skills that can help students thrive in the future. We believe in equity and access for all children to receive dignity and hope through quality music education.
