We are grateful for the countless students, teachers, administrators, staff, alumni, and supporters who contributed to the legacy of Bell-Jeff and the mission of Catholic secondary education in Burbank.

In August 2019, St. John Paul II STEM Academy at Bellarmine-Jefferson launched with a freshmen class but ceased operations in June 2020 after one year.

During the first week of Maker Camp, students were exposed to the world of robotics through the use of the VEX V5 Robotics kits. Students worked in groups throughout the week developing mechanical and coding skills in their smaller projects to prepare themselves for the final robotics competition. After building and programming a basic robot, each team worked together to create a new robot design in an effort to win the end-of-week tournament. The campers learned to adapt and overcome challenges they faced throughout the week and ultimately succeeded in creating their robots, providing a thrilling competition in Friday’s tournament.

The past couple of weeks have been busy on campus! Our middle school Film Makers Workshop and Future Doctors Camp just recently concluded. In the Film Makers Workshop, middle school campers partnered with current Cinema Arts Program Pioneers to work on a short film. The campers got a taste of what it takes to make a film from start to finish. It was amazing seeing their work and creativity. The Future Doctors Camp gave our middle school campers a look into the medical field. Throughout the two-week camp, the campers practiced new skills, such as CPR and suturing.

We can't wait to share content on what the Maker Camp has been up to!


Our Providence Singers' experienced some travel delays, but the first group of students have reached Ireland, and more are on their way. Our students remained gracious and patient throughout the process. Still keep an eye out for Andrea Ferrer's '24 Instagram takeover!

Congratulations to Nathan Warson! Over the weekend, he competed in the USA Diving Zone F Championships. He placed in the top-6 for the 1m and 3m and will compete in the the US Nationals.
