BBT's pre-professional Studio Company dancers share their passion for dance through performances in BBT's annual programming as well as collaborations with organizations including SF Girls Chorus, Berkeley Symphony, and BAMPFA.

Rhythm & Motion is a high-energy, dance-based workout that incorporates a dynamic mix of movement and music styles. The choreography is firmly rooted in dancer fundamentals and is inspired by popular music from around the world.

Pole Foundations is our introductory level pole class for those new to pole dancing. We will begin by conditioning strength and technique for inversion preparation and climbing then move into beginner level movements including spins, sits, and floorwork. From there, we’ll put those spins, tricks and floorwork together to create choreography.

Curious about moving up to Pole L2 but want to ease into it? Or maybe you're already in Pole L2 but you know how important it is to keep refining the basics. This class is for you! In this class, students will begin to learn common Pole L2 tricks and skills such as jasmine, genie, figurehead, and apprentice. You’ll stay mostly upright and descend into all inversions. You’ll also continue working on pole sits and laybacks, forearm climbs and basic grounded movement.

In Pole 2, we’ll develop strength and condition to start going upside down, inverting to outside and inside leg hangs. We will develop new movements such as crucifix, teddy hold, side climbs, and Jasmine.

In Pole 3, we will work on conditioning strength and intermediate tricks such as Jade Split, Shoulder Mount variations and transitions, and Brass Monkey tumbles. Each class includes a static pole combo and a spin pole combo putting tricks together.

I took Mae Mae's Heels Choreo class ... She broke everything down in a way that was super easy to understand and modified for all the different levels in the class. The studio is super clean and nice and the staff are friendly. Highly recommend!

I’ve never once touched a pole, but by the end of the class I felt like a pro! Very fun and a great way to get your body moving. Highly recommend.
