We believe in the power and importance of the “local music store,” experience. A store where a friendly and knowledgable staff knows your name and musical needs. An experience where you are shown care and support for the musical projects important to you. We are convinced that great community can not be replicated by clicking on a website alone. Yes, musicians enjoy the gift of social anxiety but the joy of receiving new gear is far more fun when shared with a supportive group of professionals there to help out if any problems arise.

World Records, the theater part, is closed until it ROARS back for September.

World Records presents an evening of Art, Music and Food to help The Mission at Kern County.

Tickets are $30, and can be purchased at World Records or from the many volunteers who are circulating in the community. All proceeds will go to The Mission.

Everyone wants to be proud of their town. But it takes effort to have a town to be proud of. And when it comes to World Records concerts, it takes a little effort, but the rest is really easy, and FUN, and INVIGORATING! The artists we select to feature at our theater, they are the foundation of the music version of the food pyramid – artists that aspiring artists draw inspiration from, recording artists, world-wide touring artists, artists whose life work is to spread meaning through music.

Samantha Fish is one of the shining stars of today’s blues rock scene and is known as an international genre-bending guitarist, singer, and songwriter.

“I want to reach over genre lines and get out to as many people as possible…”

For Samantha Fish, her journey on the guitar started with the blues. And while Fish is rooted in the blues she’s not afraid to push the boundaries of the genre.

Sure has been nice to have folks back in World Records, flipping through CDs and LPs, checking out the Boytone record players and Audio-Technica turntables, picking out seats for upcoming concerts, getting just the right color WR t-shirts, and filling out to-s and from-s on those World Records gift certificates that every music lover longs for.
