4worldlovers: I wanted to take a moment and thank you all for your support during this tough time. As you probably know, on Saturday at 4:30 am, our restaurant sustained major fire damage. It touched my heart to see the support and love you guys have shared with me throughout this difficult experience. We wouldn't be La Veranda without you guys. You make La Veranda more than a restaurant, you make it a home. I am grateful to the strong and loving community we have built. My family and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

To my dearest family of customers who have supported me for years, it is with sadness that we are being told that there has been delay after delay, and that wewon’t be able to open until mid-June.As noted, they are putting in the finished flooring and some of the key equipment. Some equipment is delayed and will be in place as soon as possible.

Over this restoration period, I have received such outstanding support from all my regular and wonderful patrons and friends. I just want to express just how much this support has meant to me and my family and it shows just how much we are all a family together. It has been a difficult struggle, but without all the great love and support, we may never have recovered, so thank you all from the bottom of my heart for being such loyal and wonderful friends and family.
