First time fishing off the Antioch Oakley pier and stopped by this shop to pick up some bait. Deon was amazing! Coming from Arizona I don't have much experience fishing and he provided some great advice on rigging and what bait to use as well as where to fish from the pier. Deon helped turn a nice day on the pier with my girls into a great day on the pier! Thank you for your wonderful customer service. I'll be back!
The hubby and I stopped by for the first time yesterday after needing bait after 7pm. Extremely professional, courteous, and customer service is top-notch. Bait prices are posted on a board and although all we needed was frozen anchovies I did scope out the prices for other bait. Prices are definitely cheaper as compared to other shops. I have bought grass shrimp, blood worms, pile worms, night crawlers, ghost shrimp, bull heads, and anchovies and the prices here are cheaper. Deon, the owner, definitely earned a new customer based on customer service alone, but the lower prices help make it that much sweeter. Thanks again! Will be back soon!

Hook Line & Sinker opened in 1985 to provide live, fresh and frozen bait, terminal tackle, as well as a snack bar for the fishing community.
In 1989, we held the 1st Hook Line & Sinker Bass Tournament which enabled beginners, families & friends to participate in a family friendly event. The event has grown over the years and is held annually. It has grown from 11 boats to over 90.
In 2001 & 2003 Hook Line & Sinker hosted the (Bass Master Open) & many other main name tournaments over the years, some of which attracted up to 345 boats. In additions, we’ve supported the City of Oakley Kids Fishing Derby held at the Oakley/Antioch Pier for the past 14 years.
In 2001, Hook Line & Sinker moved from the Big Break Marina to 3100 Main St in Oakley CA, were we expanded our product line to include all types of fresh water & salt water fishing products, as well as marine supplies (which include; Minn Kota, Motorguide, Lowrance & Optronics just to name a few).
