I don’t ever remember learning to swim but as far back as I can remember I’ve loved the water and it has always been an important part of my life.

As a high school freshman, I was privileged to be one of four girls selected to join the varsity swimming team. Little did I know that this would be the start of an amazing journey that would see us clinch three consecutive league championships. Over the years, I also had the honor of representing our school in Pacific League Division 1 CIF finals, as well as Junior Olympics competitions.

I received specialized training in Butterfly and the I.M., allowing me to become a formidable swimmer in these disciplines. But my passion for expanding the frontiers of aquatics didn't stop there. In a bold move, I worked tirelessly to establish the first girls water polo team in our entire league, starting with friendly matches against JV boys' teams. Over the next two years, we garnered support from the school board, district, and eventually C.I.F., culminating in a huge milestone for women's sports in our region.

Reflecting back on these accomplishments fills me with pride and joy, knowing that my efforts helped pave the way for future generations of female athletes."

I began my career in teaching and lifeguarding at the young age of 15, working my way through various aquatic organizations such as the YMCA, Rose Bowl Aquatic Center, and the LAUSD Portable Pools program. I now have over 25 years of experience in the field. throughout the years I have had the privilege of working alongside some of the best coaches and mentors in the industry.

My private swim school, Ocswim4u, was established in 2017 with a unique methodology that incorporates all the teaching techniques I have learned throughout my career. As someone who has always had a deep love for the water, I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and helping my students achieve their swimming goals with confidence. Through my personal approach to teaching, I ensure that every lesson is tailored to each student's needs and abilities. I work with all ages and skill levels and with my extensive experience in the field, I provide a comfortable and supportive environment that fosters growth and learning for each student.
