Hello Sierra Rangers. I am your principal, Mr. Ramirez and I would like to welcome you back to the start of the 2022-2023 school year. This Monday, August 15th is a big day for our staff, your parents and most importantly, you.


For our students in grades TK-5, school starts at 8:15AM, but I recommend arriving at least 15 minutes early so you have an opportunity to eat breakfast and say hello to your new teacher and classmates. For our students in grades 6-8 school begins at 8:30AM, but I strongly encourage you to arrive no later than 8:10AM so you can locate your 1st period class on our locator sheets that will be posted throughout the school and so you can eat breakfast before starting your big day. Several staff members will be available to help all students get to their destination on the first day of school.


I know that some of you have been personally affected by the challenges we have all faced the last few years as a result of the pandemic, and I encourage you to connect with a counselor or any Sierra staff member you trust if you need help with any emotions or feelings you may be struggling with.

Sierra Rangers are strong and resilient. Make your parents proud by being responsible and by continuing to make good choices everyday. Always think of the sacrifices your parents make to help provide for you and keep in mind the great things an education will be able to do for you and your family. Always remember, that no matter how hard your parents and teachers work to give you the opportunity of a world-class education, it’s up to you to be responsible and make the choices that will bring you success.
